Some more Cottage Wall

Oh how I love this Cottage Wall DSP. I just love the colours in it!

While I had my All Holidays set the other day, I decided to use it to stamp this simple card.
I stamped the image in Rich Razzleberry and the ribbon and flower are the same colour. The little pearls at the bottom are not from the Pretties Kit (horrors!), but I've ordered the kit so any card following this one will have Pretties Kit pearls on it. I used the Eyelet Border Punch on the Whisper White cardstock. The flower was cut using the Big Shot Daisies die.

What do you think?

Colour Challenge

OK, so I made this for a colour challenge...but now I don't remember where I saw it. Don't you hate when that happens???

I do remember the colours were Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Going Grey (or maybe Basic Grey) and Old Olive.

I decided to use the All Holidays set I got with my Starter Kit and the Sweet Stems set that I mooched off my upline (and really should return to her).
I stamped the stems in Old Olive on Whisper White and then punched the image out using the Scallop Circle Punch. I then punched a piece of Old Olive using the Scallop Circle Punch and offset it behind the Whisper White piece. The DSP I used is from Cottage Wall (LOVE!) and the ribbon is Old Olive. My tiny nod to the grey is the {thank you} stamp at the bottom right.
I finished the inside of the card with the same Cottage Wall DSP as well as some Whisper White and a little piece of Old Olive ribbon.

Happy Birthday Amanda!

Today is my niece's birthday. She's 11 and oh so cute! I made this card over the weekend and sent it off to her yesterday. A little late, but she should have it by the end of the week.

I used the Mojo Sketch for this week and flipped it (as usual - LOL!)

SUDSOL Chat and Challenge

Last week, I had the privilege of hosting my first ever SUDSOL Chat and Challenge and I had a GREAT time! A bunch of demonstrators get together in the (virtual) classroom and chat and make cards based on a sketch.

Are you demonstrator? Are you a member of SUDSOL? If not, and you'd like to try it out, just click on the link to the right and you can try it out for two weeks FREE!!! If you like it, the price to join is VERY reasonable and the ideas you get from the wonderfully talented ladies in the group are worth EVERY penny!

Here is the sketch we used:
Here is the front of the card:
Here is the inside of the card:
This was such a fun sketch to use and a fun card to make. I'm sure I'll be using the layout over and over again!

Itty Bitty Flowers

OH. MY. GOSH. Ina made these:
Yep! I'm serious...BY HAND!!! Aren't they just adorable! I can't wait to use them on some cards! Those snowflakes? They sparkle! You can't tell in the pic, but they have tiny little sparkly threads in them. Oh I sure do love these girls!

A card box

Diana is just as awesome as Teresa!!! She made everyone this amazing little purse/box that holds cards. Can you imagine? How cute is this?
It's a good thing she gave us directions, because my DD was about ready to swipe mine! Now...I can make her one of her own!

Peach Jam on Toast

You've heard me talk about my SplitCoast friends before...we get together (once a month now!) and just chat, eat, enjoy each others company...it's a beautiful thing!

We got together this past Tuesday at Big Daddy's Crabshack in Mississauga and had a great time! We brought goodies so that we could spoil each other which is just another reason we enjoy getting together - Christmas once a month!!!
Teresa brought us all her AWARD WINNING Peach Jam and let me tell you! It is heavenly. I had to put it on toast the very next morning.
Lucky me!!!

A little more Cheep Talk

I'm participating in a Fancy Fold Swap over on SplitCoast Stampers. Are you? If not, you should be!!! I've seen some of the cards and they ROCK! There's still time to join and I'm sure Diana would LOVE to have you. It's Canadian based, but if you're reading from the US, don't let that deter you...we're very accommodating up here in Canada and I'm sure we can work something out for postage.

So...This is a Z-Fold Card. To make it, you take a piece of cardstock that is 4 1/4 X 11 inches and fold it in half at the 5 1/2" mark. Then, take the front of the card and fold it back on itself so that the edge meets up with the first fold. Then...embellish! Easy, right?
I used the Cheep Talk set again and inked up the branch in Close to Cocoa and the leaves in Old Olive. The day I made these, I was stamping with some girlfriends and didn't bring my markers - d'oh! Good thing I had some Stampin' Spots with me...they did the trick quite nicely!

My card base is Rose Red (oh, how I LOVE this colour!!!) and the DSP is Rose Red too (of course!). The image is stamped on Whisper White and matted on (you guessed it!) Rose Red! I didn't take a pic of the inside of the card, but I added a piece of Whisper White that will fit under the image panel with the card is closed. For a finishing touch, I added a piece of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon tied (once again) using my non-dominant hand to achieve the perfect bow.
