Next month, I have a class called Flower Frenzy! It's one of my favourite classes ALL year because of all the fussy cutting! My students don't like it so much (the fussy cutting part), but they sure do like the final results!!

There's no fussy cutting on this card thanks to the coordinating dies from Stampin' UP! that match the Flower Patch stamps - love that!! It's available as a bundle and if you order it that way, you'll save 15% over the cost of buying the stamps and dies separately.

I started off with a base of Pistachio Pudding and added a layer of Coastal Cabana polka dot Designer series Paper. Both of these colours are retiring this year, so now's the time to snap them up! Once the retiring list is released (in just a couple of months), the In Colours will sell out in HOURS.

I die cut the Whisper White Cardstock using the Labels Framelits Dies and my Big Shot and then added the flower using Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral and the leaf using Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi. The sentiment was stamped in Coastal Cabana. I added the die cut flower which was stamped in two colours and then die cut.

The finishing touch was a piece of Coastal Cabana Bakers Twine tied in a bow.

Check out the rest of the crew here.

Happy Valentine's Day

A lovey-dovey-baby class wouldn't be complete without a valentine for the man in your life, so we created this one using Banner Banter and adorable little banner punch. Cute, but without being too girly.

First all the images were stamped and punched out. A word to the wise...you can stamp these image straight up and down or sideways and they'll fit in the punch either way. The punch, however, is positioned sideways, so just be sure you're stamping in the right direction. :)

After the images were all punched, a ½ of a Stampin' Dimensional was applied to each piece - these are tiny pieces of paper, so you only really need a ½ dimensional.

We stuck them down and then I did some bow-tying magic to complete the banner look.

We stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Real Red ink.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

Oh well…what do you do…

Attending the Stampin’ Up! For the Newlyweds

This past Saturday, I held a class where we focused on love, marriage and babies - we had SO much fun! Or...at least I did...my students don't exactly LOVE fussy cutting as much as I do - LOL!

We started off with a base of Blushing Bride Cardstock and added a sponged and paper pierced layer of Whisper White Cardstock.

Then it was on to the stamping and fussy cutting. We stamped and cut two of the larger flowers and then stamped the smaller flower twice so that it could be layered to add dimension. The decorative background was fussy cut as well.

We then used the "For the Newlyweds" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and created a stacked banner sentiment.

Check out the rest of the crew here.

Let's meet for coffee!

This little set is still one of my favourites in the whole catalogue! As a demonstrator, I'm already thinking ahead to when the retiring list comes out (it'll be here before you know it!) and I sure hope this cute little set isn't on it!

I stamped the coffee cup three times for this card. The entire cup is one layer, the lid is another and the coffee cup band is a layer as well. I may be just a little fussy-cut crazy - LOL!

The "circles" were created by using the 2" and 2 ½" punch.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

Make it MOJO Birthday

Are you ready for another Make it MOJO? Here we go!

Cut two pieces of Bermuda Bay Cardstock:

  • 4 ¼" x 11"
  • 2 ¼" x 4 ⅛"
  • You'll also need a piece of Bermuda Bay scrap for the "Just for You"
Cut two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock:
  • 4" x 5 ¼" (this is your inside layer)
  • 2 ⅛" x 4"
Cut a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock:
  • 3" x 4 ¼"
Cut a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock:
  • ¾" x 4 ¼" (this is for your scalloped edge)
Cut a piece of Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper:
  • 3" x 4"

Let's get started!

Fold your 4 ¼" x 11" piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock in half to form your card base and set it aside.

Ink up your image with Calypso Coral Ink and stamp it onto your small piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

Clean off your stamp and ink it up again in Versamark ink. Stamp it onto the scrap of Bermuda Bay Cardstock and emboss it with White Embossing Powder. Cut it out leaving a narrow border so the Bermuda Bay is peeking out. Adhere it to your larger stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Mat this image panel onto the smaller piece of Bermuda Bay and then mat it again with Stampin' Dimensionals this time unto the piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock. Take care to make sure it's on the left hand side as you need room for the ribbon/bow.

Tie your ribbon and add it to the right hand side of your Crushed Curry Cardstock. Set it aside.

Attach your 3" x 4" piece of Birthday Bash DSP to the bottom of your card, taking care to leave even borders around the three sides.

Using the scalloped border punch, punch the edge of your Calypso Coral Cardstock and add it to the front of the card so it *just* touches the top of the DSP.

Add your whole image panel to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp your 4" x 5 ¼" piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the sprinkles stamp from the Balloon Bash Stamp Set and attach it to the inside of your card.
