It's Paper Crafts Crew Day! Are you ready to play??

Since you've seen some Christmas in the past few days, I decided to change things up a bit today and give you some bright and cheery!

I started off with an Island Indigo base as the colours for this month's Creative Crew challenge over on SplitCoast are taken from the Summer Smooches Paper Pack and I wanted to add another card to my gallery for that. :)

Next, I had to figure out how to make that swoop at the bottom. It was easiest to just hand draw it and cut it out, so I went with that. I then added the layer of Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper to the Tangerine Tango Cardstock Layer.

And then...because I was suffering from "fussy cutting" withdrawal *grin* I cut out the balloon, the basket AND the streamer!

I finished off with the sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Wishes) stamped in Island Indigo on Whisper White and matted on Tangerine Tango.

And here's the sketch on which my card was based:

Freshly Made Insane Fussy Cutting!

I've decided to just embrace my insanity and not apologize for it. I LOVE FUSSY CUTTING!!! So there - LOL!

Today's card is brought to you courtesy of the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I love their sketches because they allow for a LOT of creativity! One of the design team even used the same set I chose! How cool is that?

Here's my card:

I started off with a Real Red base, mostly because it was pretty much the only colour I HADN'T used from the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper - LOL! I then added a layer of the Real Red DSP.

The image panel was stamped on Whisper White using the two-step stamping method. Or...is it three step stamping if you use more than two colours? I started with the clouds in Tempting Turquoise and then added the sentiment in the same colour. Next, I stamped the balloons in both Real Red & Tangerine Tango and cut them out. I lined them up without adhering them to determine where I wanted to stamp the baskets and stamped them in Basic Black. Once the baskets were stamped, I adhered the balloons with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then...just for sh*ts and giggles (as my friend Rose-Ellen would say), I decided to stamp and fussy cut the ribbon that's hanging off the basket. It was attached using just a dot of mono-multi glue (or, as I like to call it, green goop) on the end closest to the basket. BTW, it's not "green goop" because it's green - it goes on white and dries clear - it's "green goop" because the caps of the bottle are green.

Here's a couple of close ups:

I took out a piece of Tangerine Tango Cardstock and adhered a piece of Tangerine Tango DSP from the Summer Smooches pack and then adhered these to the card base. Next came the strip of Tempting Turquoise and then finally the image panel was attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I didn't stamp on the inside of this one, but I did doodle:

Leadership Colours!

So this past Friday, I FINALLY received my Leadership package in the mail. It had my bag voucher, my name tag and my Senior Consultant "banner" that goes under my name tag. I am SO excited!

The really funny thing was that I had made a card BEFORE I got the package and the colours of my card and those of the Leadership goodies MATCH!!! How fun is that? I REALLY hope that means the colours of the voucher/name tags will match the colours of the bag we get. If that is the case, we are in for a BRIGHT time! See what I mean:

This is the card my class attendees completed at Saturday's Calendar and Cards Class. And we had SO. MUCH. FUN. It's too bad YOU couldn't be there! You should definitely come to my next class though! It's featuring Easy Events and we'll be making eight bright and cheery cards using some fun colours. You won't want to miss it!

In addition to five cards, the attendees also completed a Perpetual Birthday Calendar, where they stamped each of the months in a month specific "theme". Here is August:

We used Up, Up and Away for this one. It seemed like a perfect set for the month!

If YOU would like a calendar, I still have a few available, though they are UNSTAMPED. They are just $8 plus shipping to you. If you would like it stamped for you, the cost will be $15 + shipping to you.
