A Touch of Fall...and PARIS!

Today is "Paris Day". It's a miracle that I slept at all last night...I am just so darn excited!! Our flight leaves at 7:25 pm and if I had my way, I'd probably go to the airport right now - LOL!

I've never been to Europe (like ever!), so this is all pretty awesome for me! While we're there, my hubby and I will be celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary (a little early) and doing the "tourist" thing. I can't wait to check out the Eiffel Tower, l'Arc de Triomphe and Versailles. And macarons, I can't wait to eat a REAL French macarons. Have I mentioned that I'm excited?

But...enough about me. I'm pretty sure you came here to look at a card and not hear all about my adventures...

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but the week that I created this card, I got to TURN OFF the air conditioning and get some fresh air in the house! We're into August now, so being in Southern Ontario, I'm looking forward to fall (my most FAVOURITE season!)

While I was away at Convention, I got to swap with the most awesome True North Swappers IN PERSON! The True North Swappers are a group of Canadian Demonstrators who swap monthly. The swaps stay in Canada, so we don't have to worry about figuring out postage for returns from the US - kinda handy!

Our theme for August (I KNOW! I'm actually ahead of the game!) is Fall, so I chose Sweater Weather for my Designer Series Paper and Magnificent Maple as my image. The "hello there" sentiment is from the Happy Day Stamp Set (one I earned for FREE just for having one of my friends take advantage of the Stampin' UP! opportunity).

I decided to use the sketch from this weeks Paper Crafts Crew to make my card:

Except...I couldn't decide which paper I liked best, so:

Which one do you like best? Leave me a comment below before August 14th and on the Paper Crafts Crew post for August 21st,  I'll let you know if YOU'RE the winner! If you are, you'll get to choose one of the tutorials on my tutorials page and I'll email it to you for FREE.

Here's the sketch on which the card was based:
