Betsy's Blossoms for the Stampin' Queens...

...and Dynamic Duos for REAL this time - LOL!

If you saw this post from Saturday, you'll know I completely messed up the colours for this week's Dynamic Duos challenge. Sometimes, I just TOTALLY get ahead of myself, go in with guns blazing and the result is...well...less than stellar - HA!!!

Of course, I really liked the card I made on Saturday, but since it didn't meet the challenge colours, I did a do-over (colour wise, not design wise) and came up with the Stampin' Queens card for today.

Here's our Stampin' Queens sketch for this week:

Here's the Dynamic Duo colours as a reminder:

And here's my card:

I had a Daffodil Delight card base sitting out, so I decided to use that as my jumping off point. Then I added the black layer. I added the ribbon and then stamped my image on Whisper White using Daffodil Delight. I masked off the little bird and added the leaf/stem in Basic Black. I then added a Daffodil Delight mat and adhered the image panel to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Betsy's Blossoms is coming out in the new catalogue on June 1st and you're going to LOVE it! It's SUCH a cute set!

What do you think?

STAMPS: Betsy's Blossoms
INK: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black

Itty Bitty Banners for Dynamic Duos

It's time for another Dynamic Duos challenge. I am SO loving this blog!!! This week's challenge is a "Black Tie" challenge with a dessert option of dry embossing.

Check this out:

I kind of like that the Dynamic Duos team tends to pick one colour from the previous week. It's kind of handy since I'm pretty sure MOST of us don't put all our supplies away right away...I STILL had my So Saffron out from last week...and OMG! I JUST realized that the colour was supposed to be DAFFODIL DELIGHT and NOT So Saffron...I am SUCH an IDIOT!

Well, shoot! Oh well...here's the card I made:

I'll just make ANOTHER card to submit to the challenge. Or...I could just recreate the card with Daffodil Delight and do a comparison. HA!! I do like the way it turned out though...I may try a few of this card using different colours. :)

For right now, I'm going out for a bike ride...I'll try and get the Daffodil Delight version done later on. *sigh*

What do you think?

Keep Calm just for fun!

OH. MY. GOSH!

When I first saw this stamp set, I nearly wet myself! These types of sayings has been all over Pinterest for ages and when I saw this stamp set...well... WOW!

It's a hostess set, so you KNOW you'll want to host a private class in your home to earn this one!

Check it out:

SERIOUSLY? How CUTE is that???

I started off with a piece of Island Indigo on which I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I then added a piece of Island Indigo Baker's Twine to the top of the image panel.

I matted the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock on which I stamped an image from the set World Treasures in Island Indigo. I'm still not sure about that set, though I do like the sentiment and the flower!

What do you think?

STAMPS: Carry on, World Treasures
INK: Versamark, Island Indigo

Happy Dirtday!

When I saw this card created by the lovely and talented Mary Brown, I just KNEW I'd have to CASE it! I mean, really! Cute? Or what??

I just love Mary's clean and classic stamping style and had to recreate her card:

Isn't "I Dig You" the cutest set? I can't believe I waited a whole catalogue year to get it, but now that I have it, I'm sure glad I do!

I stamped and cut all the sections of the image separately and they're affixed to the white panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'd LOVE to send you one of these cards! Would you like one? This is my team card of the month for June and EVERY member of my downline will get one! All you need to do is join my team before the end of May and one will be on it's way to you on June 1st. It couldn't be easier! And with the new starter kit priced at just $125 and FULLY customizable, it's a GREAT time to join!

World Treasures for the Stampin' Queens

Last week, I got to have lunch with my upline and BFF. She had just returned from Disney and had the NEW catalogue in her hot little hands!! Of course, I scoured every page, we talked about what we liked and what made us scratch our heads and wonder what SU! was thinking (mostly for stuff that retired, but I digress).

As Stampin' UP! always does, there was a prize wheel which could be spun everyday for prizes. One of the prizes Caroline won was a stamp set called World Treasures. It's no secret that mounting stamps is NOT one of her favourite things to so, she handed me the set with instructions to mount it and play. OK!

So, when I saw the Stampin' Queens sketch for this week, I knew JUST what I wanted to do!

Here's our sketch for this week:

And here's my card:

Of course, I RARELY keep a sketch EXACTLY the way it's supposed to be, but that's OK! I've always thought of sketches as a creative jumping off point.

My hubby was unsure about the Cajun Craze and Midnight Muse combination. He said the DSP was too busy for the peacock. I *think* I agree with him and might have to try again. We'll see!

I added some bling and I REALLY like the way it turned out!

Here's a little close up:

I just LOVE the new Apothecary Accents Framelits! For the sentiment, I stamped it and then hand cut it so I could use the label as a matte.

What do you think?

Freshly Made Artistic Etchings for Dynamic Duos

Oooooh! I just LOVED this week's Dynamic Duo Colours! Check this out:

How lovely and soft and spring like. I knew JUST what I wanted to do and I teamed with the Freshly Made sketch for this week. This is what I came up with:

Do you love it? I started off with a So Saffron base and then added the So Saffron and Pool Party Designer Series Paper. The sentiment was stamped using Whisper White Craft Ink and I embossed it using white embossing powder.

I stamped the focal image on Whisper White Cardstock using both Pool Party and So Saffron.

Here's a few close up shots:

Ronda Wade made me do it!

So...this is the year I'm going to do it! I'm going to earn the 2014 Grand Vacation (I don't know where it is, but I KNOW it's going to be AWESOME) and take my husband on the vacation of a lifetime all thanks to Stampin' UP! Would YOU like to come with me? Join my team and I'll help you!

I had my first training call with Ronda this week and she gave us HOMEWORK! Homework? Yep! It's fun homework, so it's ALL good!

One of the things we had to do was stamp 25 thank you cards. I got 16 of the 25 done, but I have until next week to finish it up, so I'm not in trouble yet - LOL!

Wanna see??

Who says cute has to be complicated?

I used some retiring paper from the Nursery Nest pack and a NEW stamp set (available June 1st, 2012) called Itty Bitty Banners. Itty Bitty Banners was designed to go with the Bitty Banners Framelits which are OH. SO. CUTE. You're going to LOVE them!

These cards from the notecard set which, thankfully, will continue to be available in the next catalogue - PHEW!!! These are a GREAT value as you get 20 cards AND 20 envelopes for just $7.50 CAD. You can't beat that! Yes, they're slightly smaller (3 1/2 x 5), but they're still mailable. When you have a LOT of cards to make at once, these are ideal!

This is the size of card we'll be using when we create our Summer Smooches cards in July. If you haven't signed up yet, just click on the "classes" tab above for details and let me know you'd like to attend. The class is just $35 and you'll get a FULL pack of these cards to take home with you!

Here's a little close up:

Bordering on Romance for the Stampin' Queens

Good news Stampin' Peeps!! Bordering on Romance is OFFICIALLY in the new 2012-2013 Catalogue and I, for one, couldn't be happier! I loved this set when I first saw it in the Occasions Mini and am thrilled to bits that I can continue to show it some love!

Demonstrators saw the catalogue online yesterday and YOU can see it IN PERSON at my Open House and Retired Stamp Set Sale on June 2nd! This is a FREE event and all sale items are first come/first serve and while supplies last.

This week marks the premier of the Dynamic Duo Challenge Blog and I couldn't be more excited! When I saw the Stampin' Queens Sketch and the Dynamic Duo colours together, I knew JUST what I wanted to do!

Here's the sketch:

Here's the colour combo:

And here's my card:

I started off with the Bordering on Romance Set and stamped it on watercolour paper. I then punched out a portion of it with my 1 1/4" circle punch and coloured just that portion with my aqua painters and ink squished into the lid.

I cut out the rest of the floral image (yes, I'm nuts) and then matted the coloured portion on a piece of Pool Party punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch.

A notched ribbon and the sentiment are the finishing touches.

Here's a little close up of the coloured flowers:

Now...after I took the above pictures, I decided to add some bling and got this:

Which do you prefer?

Leave me a comment below and tomorrow, I'll draw the name of a lucky winner who will receive this card! It could be YOU!

What do you think?

The time is NOW!

Are you ready for THIS?

In January, at Leadership, Stampin' UP! announced their theme for the year. This year, it's "MY WAY". The idea is that we are ALL unique as demonstrators and that not everyone works their business the same way. Some are hobbyists (WOOHOO! DISCOUNT!), some hold classes (structure), some only do workshops (meet new people) and still others conduct their business online.

You see...it's really up to YOU!

To that end, Stampin' UP! has COMPLETELY changed the way they offer the starter kit! It's as flexible as you are! You can choose ANY PRODUCT from the catalogue, up to a value of $155 dollars. You'll also receive a business pack valued at $70 making the total value of your starter kit $225. And you can get it ALL for just $125 tax free AND with free shipping! You really can't go wrong!

I'd LOVE for you to join my team! I support all my demonstrators (cross-country!) with newsletters, a card of the month from me, email access, our own blog, etc.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please let me know and I'd be happy to help! I can even provide you with a list of items recommended to get started in your business.

Happy Stampin'!
