Everyone needs a little sparkle!

This week's card is quick and easy! Just a layer or two of cardstock, some stamps and a couple of punches. It's perfect for those "Oh shoot! That's TODAY?" moments.

Check it out:

Our base is Pear Pizzazz and the squares/rectangles are Blushing Bride. I cheated a little with this week's colours and added some Strawberry Slush sponging around the edges of the large flower from Flower Shop after I stamped it in Blushing Bride and punched it out. The square image panel started off with a layer of Soft Sky under the Whisper White and the images.

The sentiment was stamped in Pear Pizzazz and since it said "sparkle" I just HAD to add a Basic Rhinestone.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

Love and Sympathy

As you know from previous posts, sympathy cards are not something anyone really likes to have to make. It's best to have them on hand for when you DO need one though, so this card will help you with that. I like the Love and Sympathy set because it makes it so easy to create the perfect card - simple and elegant.

Oh Happy DAY!

You know those sets? Those ones that you see in the catalogue and you think. "Meh. Doesn't do much for me". And then you see ideas from the likes of Mary Brown and Connie Babbert and Patty Bennett and other awesome Stampin' UP! designers? Yeah. Those sets.

When Starburst Saying first came out, that's pretty much what I thought. And then it happened. "They" started posting and I had to have it!

Check it out:

A Baked Brown Sugar base started off this card and the Designer Series Paper from the Moonlight Paper Stack was a perfect match! I've already ordered a second stack. You've got it right? If not, you really should! Contact me and I can set you up!

I inked up the image with the new (and simply AMAZING) Blackberry Bliss Ink and stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock. It was cut out using the matching die and the Bib Shot.

I added a button with some Bakers Twine as an accent as well as the banner with some Basic Rhinestones.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

How to Blend with the Color Lifter and Blendabilities

Add the Colour Lifter to your blending arsenal - AWESOME! This set wasn't on my "must have" list, but it sure is now! :)

Thanks SO much!

OH. MY. GOSH! Do you ever create a card and think to yourself "This is the most stinkin' cute thing I have EVER created!"

For me, today's card is it! (at least for the moment...till I create something else - LOL!) I saw something similar on Pinterest and when I saw the sketch for this week, I just knew I had to recreate it! :)

Thank Goodness for Facebook!

What would we do without Facebook? What did we do BEFORE Facebook? Obviously, it hasn't been around forever, but it sure seems like it has been. I can't remember a time before Facebook and yet, I know there WAS one.

Today's card features a fun new photopolymer set called "Age Awareness". It features such sentiments as Happy Age Awareness Day and You look better at this age than I thought you would. My favourite though, is the one I used on today's card:

Don't you just LOVE collage stamps? We created this card at a recent class and had so much fun! My favourite part? No stress!! You simply CAN'T do this wrong!

I started off with Smokey Slate and added Daffodil Delight and finally some Soft Sky. I added the "birthday" part of the sentiment first and then, because it's a photopolymer stamp set and you can see right through it, I was able to line up the Soft Sky part of the sentiment with no problems at all!

And inside:

Seriously! How many times has a birthday slipped your mind and then Facebook reminds you? PHEW! Crisis averted! You can wish your friend (or sometimes family member - OOPS!) a happy birthday on Facebook and then put a belated card in the mail. I've done it and I know you've done it too! LOL!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

Merry Christmas

Now...don't freak out, OK? Promise? Christmas is just 105 days away. I know! It'll be OK though...I've got you covered! Check it out:

This card is HUGE (by my standards anyway) as it's a 5 ½" square card. It's a good thing there's the Envelope Punch Board to help me create a custom envelope!

My base is Smokey Slate and to that I added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock. The Whisper White has layers from the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper pack. Can I just say how much I LOVE this paper?? I go through these phases of despising red and green for Christmas and it looks like this year is going to be one of those years! These colours are perfect! Yes, there's some green in there, but it's Pear Pizzazz (not in your face) and yes, I added some red (Cherry Cobbler), but it's just a touch of it and I just LOVE the way this card turned out! You're definitely going to want to get your hands on this paper.

The wreath was stamped off before it was stamped onto the cardstock, so it's very subtle. It's a photopolymer stamp set, so it's very easy to line it all up. This particular wreath stamps has THREE steps to it, so to help you align it, there's a sort of "tab". Keep the tabs on all three images facing the same direction and you're good to go!

Bonus? The Wondrous Wreath set comes as a bundle with coordinating Framelits for the Big Shot - buy the stamp set and the Framelits together and save 15%!

The sentiment was stamped using the Good Greetings Stamp Set which is a hostess EXCLUSIVE through to the end of October! All YOU need to do is book a party with ME and have sales of $325 or more. Too busy for an in home party? No problem! You can do a catalogue party too!

You can check out what the rest of the crew has been up to HERE.

Fancy a spot of tea?

When I was choosing the elements for this card, I thought I'd play with From My Heart. I haven't used this set in a while and it was fun to get reacquainted with one of my favourite images!

Check it out:

Now that you've had a couple of months to play with them, what do you think of the new In Colours? Personally, I love them! All of them! And I especially like that they all play so well together, like in this card where I used every single one of them. (you'll have to scroll down a bit, it's the second card)

My base is Lost Lagoon with a layer of Soft Sky and a layer of Lost Lagoon Designer Series Paper from the Flowerpot DSP pack. I added a length of Lost Lagoon Stitch Satin Ribbon under my image panel. The image is stamped twice, once in Soft Sky and a second time in Pear Pizzazz. The Pear Pizzazz sentiment is cut out and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside looks like this:

The Treaty of Paris

How embarrassing! I had this post all set up to go for yesterday and then realized that yesterday was Paper Crafts Crew day - dang it! Anyway....read on to learn about the Treaty of Paris and see today's card. :)

Hello Love

When I saw the sketch for today's card, I just knew I had to use Postage Due! (Hey look! It's a rhyme - LOL!). In the end, I ended up just using the Post Card and not Postage Due, but I love the way it turned out! Check it out:

I started off with a Hello Honey base and added some Hello Honey DSP from (you guessed it!) the Moonlight Paper Stack. :) Even though the "base colour" in Moonlight is Whisper White, there's a few sheets that pair well with Very Vanilla and this just happens to be one of them.

A little something cute...

for your cute little someone...

I'll admit, when this set first came out, I didn't REALLY think I'd want it, but then, as time went on and I kept seeing more...and more...and more adorable baby cards, I HAD to have it!

Does that every happen to you? If you fall in love with the set too, you can get it as a bundle! It might come in handy as I plan a baby card tutorial in the near future. Just sayin'.

Check it out:

I started off with a Soft Suede Base and added a layer of Soft Sky and then some Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper from the Park Lane DSP pack.

To create my focal image, I started off with an ATC sized piece of Soft Sky Cardstock. I then added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped my images with Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky inks and then cut them out...I seem to have mislaid my Big Shot Framelits for this set, so I had to hand cut the images. I'm sure it'll turn up..........

And the inside, is just as cute as the front:
