Fancy a spot of tea?

When I was choosing the elements for this card, I thought I'd play with From My Heart. I haven't used this set in a while and it was fun to get reacquainted with one of my favourite images!

Check it out:

Now that you've had a couple of months to play with them, what do you think of the new In Colours? Personally, I love them! All of them! And I especially like that they all play so well together, like in this card where I used every single one of them. (you'll have to scroll down a bit, it's the second card)

My base is Lost Lagoon with a layer of Soft Sky and a layer of Lost Lagoon Designer Series Paper from the Flowerpot DSP pack. I added a length of Lost Lagoon Stitch Satin Ribbon under my image panel. The image is stamped twice, once in Soft Sky and a second time in Pear Pizzazz. The Pear Pizzazz sentiment is cut out and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside looks like this:

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the divas have been up to here.

This too shall pass for the Paper Craft Crew

Oh my! I was down to the wire on this one! I've been SO busy with Christmas cards for classes that I'm seriously starting to think that I'm burning out. I LOVE posting to my blog everyday because I just love sharing new things with all of you, but I think I may need a little break. I'll have to keep you posted.

Today's card is going to a dear friend who is having a rough go of things right now. She needs a hug through the mail and since this is what I do, I thought it was a GREAT idea!

You'll have to excuse the location in which the photo was taken as it was well after dark when I finished the card. *sigh* Have I mentioned that I REALLY don't like this time of year? The early setting sun is SO depressing. BLAH!

I stamped the image in Always Artichoke unto Very Vanilla and hand cut it (yes, I was too lazy to get up and use the Big Shot - pathetic!) and then matted it on a piece of Always Artichoke which was also hand cut.

I added the Natural 7/8" Ribbon and then attached the sentiment panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. The final touch was the basic pearls.

What do you think?

MOJO Monday Birthday

Yes, I know it's Thursday...but if you've been following my blog for ANY length of time, you know that I RARELY get the MOJO Monday done on an ACTUAL Monday. In fact, I think it's happened ONCE - LOL!

Today's card is for a dear friend who is celebrating a birthday this weekend! The best part? I get to spend the DAY with her and a couple of other WONDERFUL friends. We've known each other probably for about 10 years or so and we STILL (as time allows) get together once a month and craft! Sometimes months and months go by before we see each other, but we pick up RIGHT where we left off like no time has passed at all. THAT is an AWESOME kind of friendship! Wouldn't you agree?

Anyway, onto the card...

I still had some Baja Breeze out from Keely's Workshop this past weekend, so I started off with that. Then, I decided on a monochromatic look, so I took out my Not Quite Navy. Did you know that Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy are a "Dynamic Duo"? You should check out the Colour Coach! There's all kinds of GREAT ideas on that! I use almost every time I create!

Since we've been friends for such a long time, I chose a set that feels a little "vintage" to me. The image is from one of the new sets in the 2012-2013 Catalogue called "From My Heart". Appropriate, don't you think?

I stamped it in Not Quite Navy and then hand cut it (yes, for real). Then I stamped the "Friendship" again in Baja Breeze and hand cut that. I added it on top of the image using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I then punched out a 2 1/2" circle using my circle punch and adhered the image to that. Next came the paper piercing, which you can somewhat see in this detail shot:

The image seemed like it was missing a little something, so I took three of the smallest paper daisies, coloured them with an inked sponge dauber and bedazzled them with a Basic Rhinestone before using a glue dot to attach them to the card.

Here's the inside:

I won't subject you to the mush I'll be adding later. :)

From my Heart for one last Dynamic Duo

Of course, I STILL had my Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive out from when I created this card on Tuesday and this Stampin' Queens card yesterday, so I just HAD to make yet ANOTHER Dynamic Duo card. :)

The submissions for Dynamic Duo close today, so tomorrow's card will be something different - LOL!

I started off stamping the image from the "From My Heart" set and let me tell you! It was a little tricky! Sometimes even us experts have issues - HA!! I persevered though and got a nice crisp image.

I then decided to add just a touch of Old Olive to the image and coloured in one of the borders around the word "ENJOYING".

Because I cut the paper pretty much to the size of the block (I have this set in wood mount), I needed something to add to the bottom of the card. I opted for ribbon and pearls...then gave the card to DH. LOL! He said he didn't mind the pearls TOO much.
