Lady Kirstin's Sketch

OK, so I started stamping last night with the intention of completing Julie's sketch, but in the end couldn't find just the right image to make me happy, so I ended up using Kirstin's sketch instead and I just LOVE how this card turned out!
I stamped the image in Stampin' UP! Basic Grey and coloured it in using Stampin' UP! Markers in Regal Rose, Rose Red, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Garden Green and Chocolate Chip. The sentiment was stamped in Rose Red.

My card base is Always Artichoke and the DSP (which is retired) is Manchester. I added 3/4" twill and mounted the sentiment on dimensionals for a finishing touch.

The inside sports another piece of Manchester DSP and a piece of Whisper White with Always Artichoke doodles around the edge.

What do you think?

STAMPS: Blooming With Love (Retired)

Happy Stampin'!

  1. Beautiful card! i'm impressed that you did the inside as well! That is one of my stamping goals, to pay more attention to the insides of the cards.

  2. So pretty! Yay for showing the inside too! :) I so rarely do the inside but love seeing what everyone else does!

  3. I got half way through this sketch yesterday with a grand plan in place ...only to realise my bigger oval wasn't big enough to carry the whole thing....hence no post yesterday....I gave it all away as a bad joke!

Love your interpretation of the sketch. Everything works so very well together!

  4. Wonderful blog and designs Christyne :) Thanks for appylying to the OCC!
    Hugs & Smiles, Jennifer :)

  5. Yay! I love what you did with my sketch!! This is too cute - and you did the inside too, Wow!

  6. OMGosh! This is so fantastic! love the twill tape and love that set! It's one of my favorite sets and you rocked it here! I may be casing this one!

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to leave me a comment. I read every one of them and appreciate the time you spend on my blog. Have a GREAT day!
