A bit of blocking for the Divas

It's inspiration challenge day to day on the Divas blog. You should check it out.

When I saw the blocks, I new I wanted to share the card I had made for one of my classes:

I started off with a Gumball Green base (I made variations in More Mustard and Raspberry Ripple too) and added a layer of Whisper White, onto which I stamped the sentiment.

The images from Merry Minis were stamped and punched. They were added to 1" squares which were then added to the Postage Stamp punched squares. I attached the squares to the card front using Dimensionals (of course!)

What do you think?

STAMPS: Merry Minis, Petite Pairs

PAPERS: Whisper White and Gumball Green Cardstock

Merry Christmas - MY WAY!

SQUEEEEE! I think this is THE cutest MY WAY card to date! When I saw the card that I wanted to do MY WAY, I knew JUST want I wanted to do. And...unlike THIS POST, it turned out EXACTLY how I saw it in my heard the first time - LOL!

And...my blog reached over 75,000 blog hits over night! You know what THAT means?? PARTY time! Not to mention...BLOG CANDY! Read on for details!

I started off with the Merry Christmas panel and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White. I rounded the corners, wrapped it with bakers twine and matted it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Next step was stamping and punching out the trees and stars from Merry Minis. It sure is a good thing that there's a matching punch for those little stamps. Everyone knows I LOVE fussy cutting, but cutting 45 of those out would be NUTS!

After stamping (Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight), they were punched out using the coordinating punches and adhered to the Whisper White piece using glue dots. This piece was then attached to a piece of Cherry Cobbler. It was then attached just above the sentiment with a Stampin' Dimensionals.

This is my swap card this month for a SUPER special group of swappers known as the True North Swappers. This is the card I sent in last month and the awesomeness I received in return was...well...AWESOME!!! I can't wait to get my swap packet back and see what's in it! :)

I'm also officially signed up for Lyssa's CQ Leadership Swap to be held at LEADERSHIP - WOOHOO!!!!!!!! Only 83 days to go...not that I'm counting! :)

Now...for that blog candy thing! Leave me a comment and let me know what YOUR favourite colour of baker's twine is! I have a package of Lucky Limeade that will be awarded by random draw from all the comments left between today and Monday morning at 8 AM EST.

Merry Christmas!

Today is Sunday, September 30th. It's the last day of the month. That means TWO things:

  1. I posted EVERY DAY this month - YAY!
  2. It's the LAST day to take advantage of the FREE ribbon offer from Stampin' UP! You'll want to shop before midnight EST to ensure that your order goes through on time. Just click on the "shop now" button to the left, spend $50 and choose your free ribbon. It couldn't be easier!
Now...onto today's card! It's a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of a card I had saved on Pinterest. The original creator is Sherry Roth and it was just SO cute that I decided to use it for one of my upcoming Christmas Stamp-a-Stacks. I still have space in my upcoming three classes, so if you'd like to join us, be sure to let me know ASAP so I can reserve a spot for you! :)

When I saw the Merry Minis in the Holiday Catalogue, I KNEW I would have to have them! I mean, really. Who DOESN'T like tiny and cute? Check this out:

I stamped all the images on a piece of Whisper White and then punched them out. No fussy cutting here! This adorable set comes with coordinating punches!

Then, I used my paper piercer and mat (with the coordinating Holiday Paper Piercing Pack) to add the ornament to the Crumb Cake layer.

The little punched pieces were adhered using glue dots (it really is the easiest way to go!). I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White using Cherry Cobbler and flagged the ends. A piece of scalloped Wild Wasabi cardstock is the finishing touch.
