Today is my Dad's birthday! He's celebrating the 29th anniversary of his 39th birthday. He decided to stop aging when he turned 39 - sounds like a good plan to me! Of course, I'm already 40, so I guess that didn't work out so good for me...though I guess I could start with my birthday this year and celebrate the 2nd anniversary of my 39th birthday - LOL!
Anyway, here's the card I made for my Dad:
The stamp set (called And Many Mower) was featured in our Occasions Mini from 2009, so "technically" it's retired, but I'm hoping it shows up in the new Idea Book and Catalogue for 2010-2011, because I REALLY like it! Besides, we don't have a whole lot of "manly" stamp sets to choose from. The paper (called Manchester) is retired too as is the Cardstock (Baja Breeze), but it one of my favourite in Colours EVER, so I hung onto it. We're half way into a NEW In Colour year, so it's really time to let it go...
The image was stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla Cardstock and instead of using a traditional fold, I chose a Z-fold for this card.
What do you think?
STAMPS: And Many Mower
INK: Chocolate Chip
PAPERS: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze Cardstock; Manchester DSP
ACCESSORIES: Twill
Happy Stampin'!
Love this set, if you ever tire of it let me know :-) Great card with it, the manchester paper goes well and I like the simplicity of leaving it uncoloured.

I love your dad's idea - I would be so much younger if I had discovered this years ago. Can I start using his idea now?
ReplyDeleteWonderful card!
Oh, I'm really hoping that they bring that one back in the new IB too. I didn't get that one and am now kicking myself! I so need some more masculine stamps. Really, how many flower stamps does a girl need??? Well...LOTS! lol
