Friday - MY WAY!!

So, since joining/being asked to be part of a few design teams, I've learned something. I like to work in batches.

Monday is one DT, Tuesday another, etc. I TRY to work at least two weeks in advance, but as long as I'm ahead by one it's all good!

I also learned that when I decide to announce a new feature on my blog, it almost ALWAYS stops after the first week. I figured out why! It's that whole "batch" thing! By putting together a few weeks in a row, I can keep the feature going - YAY!

So, last night, I had an idea...and I postponed today's post in favour of starting the "Friday - MY WAY!" feature.

This post is (OBVIOUSLY) way later than most of my others (you'll notice the OCD time stamp of 6:30 a.m. on at least 99% of my posts), but I promise you this feature is worth the wait! Ready?

In January at Leadership, Stampin' UP! announced the theme for the year (this year, it's MY WAY!), so I started thinking earlier this week that it would be fun to take cards that I find online and CASE them using Stampin' UP! supplies. It's well known (DUH!) that I'm a Stampin' UP! junkie and that I am 100% SUO (that means I use Stampin' UP! products exclusively when I'm creating). I do, however, find inspiration ALL over the net (mostly Pinterst *coughcough*) and decided to use that inspiration to recreate non Stampin' UP! cards (I know...who knew you could create without SU! Strange...) with 100% Stampin' UP! supplies. And so...you get Friday - MY WAY!!!

OK...enough babbling...here's today's card:

I made TWENTY of these things today because it's my team card of the month for October (yes, with all that fussy cutting). I'll let you in on a little secret though...I only have NINETEEN members on my team. Know what that means? Spare card!! If YOU want to get one in the mail, all you need to do is join my team before the end of September and I'll have one in the mail to you along with the ones that will go to the rest of my team.

I started off by punching out 120 3/4" squares in rainbow colours, then I cut my strips of Whisper White onto which I adhered all those little squares. After I added them to the front of the cards, I went to work on the stamping and fussy cutting. No...I didn't use a Stamp-a-majig. :)

What do you think?

STAMPS: Just Believe
INK: Crumb Cake, Old Olive
PAPERS: Whisper White and Crumb Cake Cardstock; Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry DSP
ACCESSORIES: Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Stampin'! And thanks for waiting patiently today!

  2. It's lovely. The fussy cutting is beautiful. I'm glad you enjoy it! :)
I love the contrast in the card between the bold look of the DSP squares and the daintiness of the stamp and fussy cut sentiment.
