Pick me up!
If there's anything that can pick me up, it's a cup of coffee! How about you?
This week, we had a fun sketch with a cluster of images. Check it out:
And here's my card:
My base is Early Espresso and I added a layer of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper in the wood texture. Then I stacked up a few of the coffee pot images I cut out from another piece of Coffee Break DSP.
The sentiment I chose is from the Bella and Friends Stamp Set. The whole set is just so cute, but since this month has been all about coffee, I just used the sentiment.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.
What do you think?

Very Vintage
This week at the Paper Craft Crew our theme was:
And for me...nothing says "vintage" like a stovetop coffee pot! I'm pretty sure my Grampy had one on his old wood stove and I *know* we used one when I was little on our camp stove. :) Maybe that's where my whole love of enamelware started?
I started off with a base of Soft Sky and then went to town with the sponging and the scraping! Scissors and sponges and staining, oh my!! The Designer Series Paper from the Coffee Break with the coffee cup stains is just perfect for the vintage look, don't you think? The coffee pot and cup were cut from another piece of Coffee Break DSP.
The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew is up to HERE.

Side by Side
We have another fun sketch this week over at the Paper Craft Crew:
And here's how I interpreted the sketch:
I started off with a base of Soft Sky and added a layer of Early Espresso under the layer of Coffee Break DSP. I cut out both the circle and the scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits and my Big Shot. The images on the circle were cut from the same sheet of Designer Series Paper that I used in this post. You all know how much I love fussy cutting, right? :)
The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet Set and I stamped it in Garden Green Ink. It was added to the image layer using glue dots. Rhinestones added the finishing touch!
I put some little cups on the inside.
I think I'll go out to coffee with my friend today!
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Christmas Cheer
I'm sure there's at least one coffee lover on your Christmas list this year? No? Well...I like coffee - LOL! You could add MY name to your list. :)
This week it's all about a game of Tic-Tac-Toe:
And...just like LAST TIME, I actually followed a line - LOL! The first column: Holiday Celebrations, Natural Elements, Favourite Stamp Set...at least it's my favourite stamp set this month - HA! It's actually TWO stamp sets - Coffee Café and Merry Café - but they go together, so that's ok, right?
I started off with a base of Soft Sky and added a layer of Coffee Break DSP. The little snippet that I cut off the larger piece of DSP was flipped over and adhered toward the bottom of the card front. I then wrapped Linen Thread (my very favourite natural element!) around the card.
I cut out the cup elements and stamped the image on the "sleeve" before attaching it all to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals...and then...some bling!
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Thanks a Latte!
This month, I'm all about the coffee!!! I mean...I'm pretty much ALWAYS all about the coffee, what with the Starbucks job and all that, but this month I'm all about the coffee on my blog!
Here's the sketch we used this week at the Paper Craft Crew:
And at my Starbucks job...you know what happens tomorrow? At the stroke of midnight...BAM! Christmas! And I can't wait! The store will be all decked out for the holiday season...new merchandise, new drinks...I can't stand it! I've been bouncing around for WEEKS since we started getting our "do not open till November 1st" boxes. SQUEEEEEEEE!!!
Anyway...here's my card:
I just LOVE sketches with all kinds of little "bits"! I can throw things around on the card front and really have some fun. :)
For this one, I started off with a base of Soft Suede and added a layer of Soft Sky under the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. I then added some Soft Sky ⅜" Classic Weave Ribbon under my focal image. The little pieces on the focal image were hand cut from one of the sheets of paper in the Coffee Break DSP pack.
I stamped the oval image from Coffee Café and cut it out using the coordinating dies and my Big Shot.
And then I just threw rhinestones around like candy!
Take a look at the inside:
I love the little "to go" cups that I cut out of the Coffee Break DSP - they're just so cute!
Don't forget to the check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Sending Sweet Thoughts
Every year, Stampin' UP! sells a set where $3 from the sale of each set is donated towards Ronald McDonald House Charities. Over the years, Stampin' UP! has donated over $1.5 million in support of Ronald McDonald Houses. How cool is that??
I used the set to create the card for this week's Paper Craft Crew sketch:
I started off with a base of Lemon-Lime Twist and added a layer of Tranquil Tide (because that Lemon-Lime Twist is some kind of bright! LOL!).
I stamped the jar and lid in Tranquil Tide and added some cute little hearts in Powder Pink and Sweet Sugarplum. Super Cute!

Pumpkin Spice ALL THE THINGS!
If you've known me for more than a minute, you know that Pumpkin Spice Season is my most favourite season of all!
My friends say that Pumpkin Spice Season is the reason I became a partner at Starbucks - early access!
This week over at the Paper Craft Crew we were given a colour scheme:
We don't do much Halloween around here (our children are older), so I was struggling to find something to stamp that wasn't Halloween-y - enter the Merry Café Stamp Set!
I started off with a base of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and added layers of Lemon-Lime Twist and Fresh Fig. Then I stamped the images from Merry Café and Coffee Café, cut them out (some with the Big Shot and some by hand) and attached them all to the front of the card.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Warm Wishes
Of all the packs of Designer Series Paper Stampin' UP! has produced this year, only ONE of them has a Very Vanilla base. I had to get creative so the cards for my Boot Camp class wouldn't be all be white!
Here's what I did:
Some of the papers in the Merry Little Christmas DSP pack are just Old Olive and Basic Black, so they work great for use on a Very Vanilla base.
This is one of the note cards (they're available in Very Vanilla now!) and I added a layer of Merry Little Christmas DSP. I punched out a circle of Old Olive and stamped the sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Real Red onto Very Vanilla Cardstock.
The teeny little ornament is from Carols of Christmas and the Real Red Solid Ribbon is just the right finishing touch!
Here's the sketch we all used this week:

Merry Christmas!
Don't look at me like that! When I created this card last week, it was exactly THREE months to BOXING DAY! That means that in three months from today, it'll already be NEW YEARS!
Have you started your Christmas Cards yet? That's one bonus of being a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator...since I'm planning for classes, I get a jump start on my Christmas Cards each year...and you're just gonna LOVE this year's line up!
Anyway...this week at the Paper Craft Crew we were tasked with a Tic-Tac-Toe Board:
And just to change it up a bit, I actually used a whole row...you know...instead of jumping around all over the place - LOL!
I chose the top row: vintage, baker's twine and something new. Now, I realize that the two stamp sets I used aren't exactly *new* since they've been available since September 1st (August 1st for Demonstrators), but up until last week, I'd been so busy that they hadn't even seen ink! I know! CRAZY!!
Here's the card I came up with:
I actually started off with the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper as my jumping off point this time and went from there. I've always thought of sheet music as "vintage" (maybe because I'm getting old and took piano lessons as a child? Who knows!), but the sheets in this DSP package are white and white is NOT vintage (IMO). So...since I had some Soft Suede Ink on the table, I went to town with my sponge...then I went nuts with my scissors distressing the edges of the DSP and even tore a piece off - GASP! I just LOVE the way it turned out!
I stamped the tree from Ready for Christmas in Always Artichoke and cut that out using the accompanying dies and my Big Shot. And that got some ink around the edges too.
Then I cut out a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock for my sentiment. And that got some ink around the edges too. :) Do you see a theme here??
I attached the DSP to the Soft Suede Cardstock and wrapped my Very Vanilla Bakers Twine around it before attaching it to my Always Artichoke base.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Baby Bums in Pink!
Welcome to another week of "A little wild"! I have finally got my hands on this set (after cutting out of a bunch of cuteness with my downline's set) and can't wait to create even MORE!
There's a similar set coming out the Holiday Catalogue, so be on the lookout for THAT!
Today's card is kind of a girly version of last week's card. At least I think it's a little more girly with the addition of pink. :) I just LOVE the Stitched Shapes Framelits and use them every chance I get!
I started off with a base of Soft Sky and added a layer of Whisper White. Then I added a strip of DSP and a little piece ribbon. I didn't want to add just the button, so I punched a ¾" circle of Whisper White and attached the button (retired, sorry!) to that.
I stamped the "hello baby" from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a piece of DSP an attached it much like I did last week.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Cute Little Bums!
My friend, and downline, Lindsay received this set at On Stage in Toronto this past April and we ALL (the whole team!) fell in love with it! How could you NOT? It's just so darn cute! My favourite image is the elephant.
The set is on its way to me (it should be here today) so I was happy to borrow Lindsay's at our Canadian Blossoms Team Meeting last month. We created a couple of cards as a team and I had a whole bunch of leftovers to create even MORE.
You can purchase this set as a BUNDLE and save 10% on your purchase. If you earned coupon codes in July, you can use them on this bundle. Don't forget that your coupon codes MUST be used in August!
For today's card, I started off with a base of Pear Pizzazz and added a layer of Whisper White. A tiny strip of the Coffee Break DSP off to the left was just the perfect touch!
I added a length of Soft Sky ⅜" Classic Weave Ribbon and a little strip of DSP which was torn to resemble a little strip of Washi Tape. I added a little button (retired, sorry!) tied with Linen Thread for a little something "extra" and finally stamped on some more DSP using the "hello baby" sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
Next week, I'll have a more "girly" version for you.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the team have been up to HERE.

How do I love thee....
...let me count the ways...
The other day, my daughter sent me one of those little quizzes that are all over the internet. It said if I had done/could check off 22/30 I had a VENTI sized Starbucks problem.
Well....I think I have a TRENTA sized Starbucks problem because I got 27/30!
I'm on my fourth week working at Starbucks and I totally love it! I even bought some Cold Brew Packets so I could brew my own at home - that stuff is FREAKING AWESOME!!
Anyway....all that to say, this week our challenge at the Paper Craft Crew was a colour challenge!
We had to choose three of these four colours:
As usual...I took some liberties. *grin*
I'm calling the Designer Series Paper "Turquoise" and the Bermuda Bay is my "Teal". That works, right? *wink* The lime green is pretty obvious in the Lemon Lime Twist.
I started off this card with the little coffee cups that I stamped and cut out a few weeks ago. Then I stamped the image in it using Bermuda Bay. I love having coffee with my friends! And my co-workers too...we have so much fun together. :)
What do you think of that Ombré Ribbon? I love it! And I'm SO happy it comes in THREE colours!
And check out the inside:
There's a sheet of paper in the DSP pack that is a fussy cutter's DREAM! :D
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Crew has been up to HERE.

It's the most WONDERFUL time...
...of the year!
It's Christmas in July...but also all the back-to-school stuff is starting to show up - LOL!
I love summer, don't get me wrong...but I LOVE routine even more and CRAVE back-to-school time when everything runs "tickety-boo" and everyone has a place to be at a certain time of day.
Anyway...today's card has NOTHING to do with back-to-school, but EVERYTHING to do with my "Christmas in July" class on July 29th.
Here's just one of the cards we'll be creating:
If you're coming to class, you'll be THRILLED to know that I have ALREADY fussy-cut all the little reindeer. :)
I started off with a base of Soft Suede and added a layer of Whisper White. To that, I added a small square of Be Merry Designer Series Paper (new in the 2017-2018 annual catalogue) and a smaller square of Whisper White Cardstock. I added the little reindeer and the sentiment from the Merry Mistletoe set.
The tree off to the left is from the same set and it was stamped onto more Whisper White Cardstock and cut out using the Big Shot and the smallest of the circles in the Stitched Shapes Framelits set.
The finishing touch was a little bit of linen thread tied into a bow...because who doesn't love linen thread??
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.
What do you think?

It's Christmas in July...but also all the back-to-school stuff is starting to show up - LOL!
I love summer, don't get me wrong...but I LOVE routine even more and CRAVE back-to-school time when everything runs "tickety-boo" and everyone has a place to be at a certain time of day.

A Tag...from my Kitchen
This week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew was to "Use something NEW" - or at least something that you hadn't used yet...how many of us have "HAD TO HAVE IT" and then let it sit unused because you had so many other "fun things" to use? Raise your hand! I know you've done it too. :)
While I haven't had the stamp set I used today "forever", it is definitely new (available in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue) and I have had it for about 2 months.
Check it out:
Super cute, right? I used the sentiment from Label Me Pretty and stamped it in Bermuda Bay unto Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out using the coordinating punch which is part of the bundle.
I had grand illusions of baking some cookies that I could then package up and attach the tag to, but I recently started a new job at Starbucks (I LOVE IT!!) and time has gotten away from me!
After I stamped and punched the sentiment, I cut out the tag and added the layer of Bermuda Bay Cardstock which I stamped using images from Touches of Texture. I then added a length of Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon and attached the sentiment on top using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added some Bermuda Bay Stitched Satin Ribbon and tied it up with my FAVOURITE linen thread for the finishing touch.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!
This week's challenge is actually a TWO week challenge, so it should give you lots of time to create YOUR cards as you celebrate either Canada Day or Independence Day. You can play Tic-Tac-Toe along with the design team:
For my card, I chose the right hand column: Cake, Baker's Twine, Clean & Simple and created this:
My base is Soft Sky and I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock unto which I stamped the cupcake base. Before I attached the Whisper White layer, I took my 1/16" hole punch and punched two tiny holes on each side of the cupcake base through which I threaded my Whisper White Baker's Twine.
I stamped the frosting in Soft Sky and added some Wink of Stella for a little bit of sparkle.
I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and added a tiny rhinestone for the finishing touch.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the crew have been up to HERE.
