...it's the launch of the new Stampin' UP! catalog!!! It's also Canada Day, but when you have a new catalog and new product to play with, who needs to celebrate the country, right???
Anyway, this card is created with a set I wasn't exactly enamoured with when it came out in the Summer Mini. I'm happy to say that I have come to love it and that it made the transition into the 2010 - 2011 Idea Book and Catalog so it will be available through June 30th 2011!
When I got my new goodies, I jumped all over the new Colour Coach (you're gonna LOVE it!!!) and since I had a piece of More Mustard in my workspace, I flipped to that colour in the colour coach. I was a little skeptical when I saw that it went well with Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze, but the results were pleasantly surprising.
I used the small swirly like stamp to stamp all over the More Mustard Card Base. Then I added a piece of 2" X 5 1/2" Not Quite Navy DSP (which was from a 6 X 6 hostess pack and is now retired). I stamped a portion of the large floral image from the Elements of Style set onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and matted it on a piece of Cajun Craze Cardstock.
For the finishing touch, I stamped the hummingbird in Cajun Craze on Whisper White Cardstock and hand-cut it before mounting it to the image panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess set Because I Care and is stamped on Whisper White with Cajun Craze ink.
What do you think?
